Chicago based education technology firm seeking passionate educational "tech savvy" Independent Sales Consultants to conduct product demonstrations. You offer:
- STRONG computer skills using MS Office and internet research
- UNDERSTANDING of how to create and/or deliver curriculum using technology
- UNDERSTANDING of local school district processes and/or hierarchy
- EFFICIENT data mining, research and reporting skills
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, you are RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE.
- CHARMING & PROFESSIONAL telephone and in-person communication skills
- PREFER understanding of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act
- PREFER sales experience selling to schools VERY helpful (contacts/relationships will add to your fast-start $$)
- Your knowledge of Local, State, and Federal education funding very helpful
- Laptop Computer, Internet Connection
- Ability to travel
Position requirements:
- Research and contact all district administration and school principals in your designated territory
- Schedule brief demonstrations of in-demand interactive whiteboard-based collaborative classroom technology suite
- Network with existing clients to build demonstration opportunities in neighboring schools or districts
- General project management & reporting client communications
- Document all client/prospect interactions using CRM application and note-taking process
- Assist and/or demonstrate at local trade shows
